KickPed | Xootr MG | Know-Ped
Pros | – Sleeker looking narrow deck – Best Scooter for damp weather among 3, although in general you should be very careful riding a kick scooter in the rain. On wet surfaces it can be very easy to slide. |
– Scooter with the Lightest Weight |
– Supports the most weight among the 3 scooters. – Has a classic American Look to it. |
Cons | – Has no front brake. | – Most Expensive – Supports the least weight among the 3 scooters. |
– It’s the heaviest scooter – Some users have claimed that when used on rainy days it begins to rot. Go-Ped does mention (in small print) that the Know-Ped should not be exposed to rain or moisture. |

KickPed | Xootr MG | Know-Ped
Our Score | 7.2 out of 10 | 8.4 out of 10 | 9.0 out of 10 |
Our Verdict | The KickPed is suitable for people who want a more comfortable and less bumpy ride on the scooter and are willing to compromise on a little less speed.
With it’s narrow deck design, it is slightly more portable than the rest of the other scooters. Be ready to deal with the bad smell from the tires for the first few weeks and some rattling sounds from the spring on the handle bar when scooting. |
Xootr is the fastest scooter among the 3 in terms of distance covered per kick. It also offers an adjustable handle bar for users of different heights.
Most users are repeat buyers of Xootr scooters for their family. They are full of praises for the service and support for warranties and issues with the scooter. The Xootr Kick Scooter is unsuitable for rough terrain and more for city usage on clean cement pavement. Some yearly maintenance needs to be made after excessive usage(lubricating oil on pin-lock area, handle bar replacement), other than that it is sturdily built and convenient to use. Xootr also stands out for its style factor. |
While the Know-Ped is the priciest among the 3 scooters, it has the least complaints from users.
It is stable, comfortable, sturdy and well built to carry the most weight. Notably, it does not break down as easily after long usage as compared with the Xootr. The downside of the Know-ped Adult Kick Scooter is the non-adjustable handle bar, as well as it’s heavy weight. |
